SCHOOL TRIPS IN GUADELOUPE

Our program is designed for teenagers aged 14-18, accompanied by their teacher(s). This program is aimed at US high schools and includes French courses, recreational and touristic activities, as well as community services related to ecology or education.
We offer accommodation in host families, including all dinners and breakfasts. You also have the possibility to opt for independent bungalows shared between pupils.
The program below is just an example. It can be modified as suits you. We are at your disposal to advise you and help you organize your trip.

Sample program for a 7-days trip, including 15 hours of French Courses

Day 0 ARRIVAL

  • Arrival in Pointe-à-Pitre (Airport), transfer to Sainte-Anne
  • meeting host families at school and welcome drink (soft drinks, cakes, fruits, etc.)
  • Exchange of contact details and planning between families, pupils and teachers
  • Evening with host families


  • Day 1 SEA TRIP

  • Trip to the “Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin” Bay: boat trip from Sainte-Anne
         (departure in the morning and return in the evening)
  • discovery of the coral reef and the islets of the bay, snorkeling
  • Evening with host families


  • Day 2 VISIT OF SAINTE-ANNE

  • 8.00-11.00 am: French course
  • 1.15 pm: Visit of the city of Sainte-Anne/Touring rally with questions
  • 3.00-5.00 pm: Beach soccer, beach volley, « pétanque » and other beach games in French
  • Evening with host families


  • Day 3 GUADELOUPE CULTURE

  • 8.00-11.00 a.m.: French course
  • 3.00-8.00 pm: Cooking workshop, followed by a traditional meal
  • 8.00 pm: Traditional stories/ tales/ masks/ drums, and interactive show


  • Day 4 COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • 8.00-11.00 a.m.: French course
  • 1.00-6.00: Community service
  • Evening with host families


  • Day 5 HISTORY OF THE ISLAND

  • 8.00-11.00 am: French course
  • 12.00: Visit to the MEMORIAL ACTe, the Caribbean Centre of Expression and Memory
          of Slavery & the Slave Trade, inaugurated in 2015
  • 3.00 pm: Slave Steps Monument in Petit-Canal.
  • 5.00 pm: Slave Cemetery of Sainte-Marguerite in Moule.
  • Evening with host families


  • Day 6 JUNGLE

  • 8.00-11.00 a.m.: French course
  • 12.30-6.00 pm: Trip to the North of Basse-Terre (picnic at the Crawfish Cascade/
          Tree-top adventure or visit to the zoo/Acomat Waterfall/ Grand Cove Beach in Deshaies)
  • 8.30: Projection of a movie in French with subtitles (or not!)


  • Day 7 DEPARTURE

  • Packing, goodbyes, photo session and departure.



  • This program is only a suggestion. It can be customized as suits you. We can also offer:
  • Additional community services activities
  • Trip to the South of Basse-Terre and ascent to the volcano “La Soufrière”
  • Surf lessons
  • Hiking and discovery of the Grande-Terre (Grands Fonds, Pointe de la Grande Vigie,
          Pointe des Châteaux…)
  • Traditional dance
  • Local arts and crafts workshops…
